Simplex Infra Launches Work on Bangalore Metro’s BIEC Extension

Officials and engineers from Simplex Infrastructures Ltd. on Friday evening conducted a low-key groundbreaking / bhoomi puja ceremony to launch construction work on the 3.031 km Hessaraghata Cross (erst. Nagasandra) – BIEC extension of Bangalore Metro’s 24.20 km Green Line. This event for Reach-3C of the 72 km Phase 2 project comes a little after 3 months since the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) awarded them with a Rs. 298.65 crore contract.

This elevated extension in north Bangalore will be entirely elevated and consist of 3 new stations at Manjunathanagar, Jindal and BIEC (Bangalore International Exhibition Center):

I am seeing lot of activity near sap labs till cloud nine hospital. I hope they come up with some innovative way of construction, instead of throwing the already chaotic traffic into absolute mayhem

        Thanks TMRG.

What I meant is a report on the progress of the work 🙂

I saw a similar function (as in pics above) being held inside the Lowry campus, so was wondering whether you may have something to share…

Hi – I’m unaware of the exact location. BMRCL hasn’t shared this extension’s DPR/alignment either.
