Hisar Airport – Status, Master Plan & Design
Maharaja Agrasen International Airport’s expansion project is an approved project in Hisar, Haryana by Airports Authority of India (AAI).
In April 2024, Vensa Infrastructure was declared as the lowest bidder for the construction of Hisar Airport’s new integrated terminal building, cargo terminal, ATC tower cum technical block, fire station building with fire control tower including ancillary buildings like office building, maintenance building, security building, sub-station etc.
The airport is planned to be upgraded to an international airport by 2030. It will eventually see the development of a new MRO, aerospace university, aerospace and defense manufacturing industrial zone, logistics and food parks, etc. over an area spread across 10,000 acre.
Hisar Airport in the future will be connected by semi high-speed train services with the RRTS project’s Delhi – Bahadurgarh – Rohtak – Hisar line. An underground station is planned to be built.
