Bhubaneswar Metro with 1 line and 20 stations is an urban Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) approved for construction in Bhubaneswar, Odisha’s largest city, by Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Corporation and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) as the turn-key consultant.
26.024 km long Bhubaneswar Metro’s Phase 1 project’s Detailed Project Report (DPR) was prepared by DMRC and approved by Odisha’s state government on November 14, 2023. Phase 1 will connect Trisulia Square with Bhubaneswar’s Biju Patnaik Airport via 20 elevated stations.
Bhubaneswar Metro’s foundation stone is planned to be laid in January 2024. The project has a 4 year deadline.
