Coimbatore – Karur Expressway – Information & Status

180 km Coimbatore – Karur Expressway project is a proposed 6-lane access-controlled greenfield highway with a route & alignment entirely within Tamil Nadu.

This greenfield project under Bharatmala Pariyojana (BMP) program includes construction of a Northern Ring Road or Northern Bypass around Coimbatore city.

The project’s feasibility report and Detailed Project Report (DPR) was prepared by Feedback Infra and submitted to Tamil Nadu’s state government for approval in February 2024.

Land acquisition for the project has not yet started.
