Information

Delhi – Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (DAHSR Bullet Train) project is an 886 km proposed High Speed Rail line that will connect Delhi, Jaipur, Udaipur and Ahmedabad through 12 stations in Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat at a project cost that is yet to be finalized.

This is the second of six new high speed rail corridors, planned by the Government of India in 2019, for which basic preliminary work has commenced to start construction on the project.

The line is expected to have its southern terminal at Sabarmati Station in Ahmedabad which is currently under construction by BL Kashyap & Sons as part of the 508.17 km Mumbai Ahmedabad High Speed Rail corridor. When ready, both lines will effectively operate as one unified line.

In September 2020, the National High Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL) invited bids for preparing the line’s final alignment design (using LiDAR surveys), and for preparing Stage-1 preliminary route development artefacts, with an aim to prepare its detailed project report (DPR) as tasked by the Government of India in 2019.
