Ludhiana – Rupnagar Expressway – Information & Status

91 km Ludhiana – Rupnagar Expressway (NH-205K) by NHAI is an approved 4-6 lane access-controlled highway with a route alignment connecting Manewal village on the Delhi – Amritsar Expressway with Bheora village near Rupnagar (Ropar) in Punjab.

This greenfield expressway also includes a 25 km spur to Kharar and is being developed under Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase 1. Its pre-feasibility report and DPR (Detailed Project Report) were prepared by SA Infrastructure.

Route Map

Ludhiana – Rupnagar – Kharar Expressway project in Punjab will connect 3 districts of Ludhiana, Rupnagar and Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (SAS Nagar). It will start from the Delhi – Katra Expressway (NE-5) near village Manewal and terminate on NH-205 at Rupnagar near village Bheora. In addition, a spur will be built to connect village Pippal Majra and Kharar.

Ludhiana – Rupnagar – Kharar Expressway has been divided into 3 civil packages with a 24 month deadline. Current bid submission deadline is June 1 and technical bids are planned to be opened on April 30.
