Itanagar Hollongi Airport – Status, Master Plan & Design
Donyi Polo Airport in Itanagar is an under construction greenfield airport at Hollongi Village in Arunachal Pradesh by Airports Authority of India (AAI). The new airport was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 19, 2022.
Hollongi Greenfield Airport will be equipped to handle A320 type aircraft, having a capacity of 200 flyers during peak hours and will consist of 5 check-in counters and 2 parking bays.
The project had a 2022-end deadline and estimated to cost of ₹645.63 crore. The new airport terminal will be an energy-efficient building with rainwater harvesting system. It will have a glass façade offering the panoramic scenic view of the mighty Himalayas.

Terminal Design
Hollongi Airport’s terminal, spread across 4100 sqm., will be an energy-efficient building with rainwater harvesting system. It will have a glass façade offering the panoramic scenic view of the mighty Himalayas.
