Bengaluru Airport City – Information, Master Plan & Status

Bengaluru Airport City on 463 acres of land is being built at Kempegowda International Airport in Devanahalli, Karnataka by Bengaluru Airport City Ltd. (BACL), a subsidiary of Bangalore International Airport Ltd. (BIAL).

This futuristic smart city’s Phase 1 is expected to be completed and opened in 2025. This includes a concert area, Retail, Dining and Entertainment (RDE) Village, business park, and 775 rooms in a combo hotel (managed by Ginger Vivanta).

The RDE Village at Airport City will be connected with BMTC’s bus service and the Bangalore Metro’s 56 km Blue Line, being built in Phase 2A and Phase 2B. In 2021, BIAL appointed DP Architects from Singapore and Portland Design from UK as its Architectural Consultants.

The concert arena at Airport City, called The Hangar, will have a built up area of 3,00,000 sq. ft. designed by PR Design Group.
