Nagpur – Chandrapur Expressway – Information & Status
182 km Nagpur – Chandrapur Expressway by MSRDC is an approved 4 lane access-controlled highway with a route alignment in eastern Maharashtra.
This greenfield expressway’s Detailed Project Report (DPR) hasn’t been published online. Land acquisition for its construction started in 2023.
Nagpur – Chandrapur Expressway will start in Nagpur and essentially act as an extension of the under construction 701 km Samruddhi Mahamarg (Mumbai – Nagpur Expressway). It includes a 39.2 km spur (connector) from Pandhar Kawada on MSH-6 to Chandrapur, effectively making the total project 221 km long.
The expressway is expected to reduce travel time between Nagpur and Chandrapur to about 2 hours from the current 4 hour journey.

In February 2024, MSRDC invited bids for construction via 6 civil packages on EPC mode with a 30 month (2.5 year) deadline.
