Current Status
The project is in proposal stage. This section will be updated as it moves towards finalization.
In April 2022, AAI and Himachal Pradesh government finalized an agreement to construct the airport with a 3150m long runway for which 2,840 bighas of land acquisition will be required. AAI has in the past conducted Obstacle Limitation Surface (OLS) and Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) surveys.
