Jalna – Nanded Expressway – Information & Status
179.85 km Jalna – Nanded Expressway by MSRDC is a proposed 6 lane access-controlled highway with a route alignment in central Maharashtra.
This greenfield expressway’s Detailed Project Report (DPR) was prepared in 2021 and land acquisition in 87 villages started in December 2021. In October 2022, Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) approved a loan to finance Rs. 2140 crore.
The expressway will be connected to the under construction 701 km Samruddhi Mahamarg (Mumbai – Nagpur Expressway) and reduce the travel time between Nanded and Mumbai to six hours from 10 hours.
Its median has been futuristically designed to accommodate the proposed 767 km Mumbai – Hyderabad Bullet Train project.

Current Status
Land acquisition process for the project started in December 2021. As of July 2024, 100% of joint measurement survey (JMS) had been completed in 87 villages along the route.
Tenders & Contractors
MSRDC invited RfQ applications for the expressway’s civil construction in April 2023. 18 bidders qualified for its construction in December.
MSRDC in January 2024 invited RfP bids for its construction via 6 packages. Bids were opened in April 2024 and financial bids in May 2024. Results are shown below.
