Durg – Raipur – Arang Expressway – Information & Status Update
92 km Durg – Raipur – Arang Expressway (NH53) by NHAI is a proposed 6 lane access-controlled highway with a route alignment entirely in Chhattisgarh.
This greenfield expressway under Bharatmala Pariyojna (BMP) will serve as a bypass around Raipur and connect Naya Raipur. The project’s Detailed Project Report (DPR) was prepared by Transys Consulting Pvt. Ltd. Land acquisition for the project started in 2020.

Current Status
Land acquisition is underway. Tenders for construction were invited on June 27, 2022.
