Hassan – Raichur Economic Corridor – Information & Status
444 km Hassan – Raichur Economic Corridor (EC-20), also known as Hassan – Raichur Expressway, is an approved 4 lane access-controlled road by NHAI with a route alignment connecting Hassan – Huliyar – Hiriyuru – Ballari – Raichur in the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Construction of this greenfield corridor with a few brownfield upgrades will be carried out under the Bharatmala Pariyojana – Lot 5, Package-3 with a primary goal to improve the efficiency of freight movement and boost exports via port connectivity.
NHAI has not yet made the project’s Detailed Project Report (DPR) available online. The DPR for a 30 km stretch connecting AP/KN Border to Raichur was prepared by Feedback Infra Pvt. Ltd. in 2018.

Current Status
In July 2024, NHAI invited bids for the construction of 5 greenfield packages of Hassan – Raichur Economic Corridor. Land acquisition is underway. This economic corridor with paved shoulders is planned to be completed by 2029.
