Pune Inner Ring Road – Information & Status
81.89 km Pune Inner Ring Road by PMRDA is a proposed 8 lane access-controlled highway with a circular route alignment in Pune, Maharashtra.
In its 37 km Phase 1, the ring road will connect Mumbai-Pune Expressway, Nagar Road, Solapur Road and Satara Road. Within it, a 4.8 km section connecting Solu to Wadgaon Shinde village will be constructed on priority and requires land acquisition of 34 hectares.
The expressway is expected to be completed and opened in 2028 (current deadline). Its new Detailed Project Report (DPR) is planned to finalized by April 2023.

The project will connect Urse, Aakurdi, Chakan, Solu, Wagholi, Kadamwak Basti, Holkarwadi, Dhayri, Bavdhan Budruk and Sangavade.
PMRDA’s Pune Ring Road project will share a common 38.5 km alignment with MSRDC’s Pune Ring Road project between Urse and Soli. 100% of the land for that was transferred to MSRDC in July 2024.
Current Status
Pune Ring Road’s’ DPR and detailed design are being prepared by an unknown Mumbai-based consultant. In July 2024, 100% of common alignment between PMRDA and MSRDC’s projects was transferred over to MSRDC for construction.
