Kochi Metro Erects Steel Girders Over Indian Railways’ Line to Connect Depot
On the night of October 21, the Kochi Metro’s civil construction contractor, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), erected four I-shaped steel girders over the Indian Railways’ line at Muttom to connect the “main line” of the metro with the Depot where the trains will be parked, maintained and repaired.

The Indian Railways’ trains at the site kept on plying at regular intervals as per schedule, but at a reduced speed to allow workers to safely carry out their work. Here are some cool images from this delicate operation:
