Bangalore Metro’s 6.4 Km Magadi Road – Mysore Line Inaugurated!
A couple hours ago, the 6.4 km Magadi Road – Mysore Road section (called Reach 2) of Bangalore Metro’s Purple line was inaugurated by Karnataka’s Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Union Minister for Urban Development M. Venkaiah Naidu! Please note that commercial operations will start on Wednesday (Nov 18) at 4 pm.

As a reminder, the BMRCL will open the line’s doors to the citizens and start commercial operations on Wednesday (Nov 18) at 4pm. This was confirmed via a tweet by the BMRCL’s General Manager for Finance:

Once this section starts, Bangalore Metro’s network will expand from 19.1 km to 25.5 km. As a reminder, the entire system’s length in Phase 1 will be 42. 30 km long.
