St+art India Foundation Adds Color to Brighten Bangalore Metro
Metro stations all over India are mostly drab and uninspiring, so here’s something you all might like 😀
The St+art India Foundation, a non-profit organization working on art projects in public spaces with an aim to make art accessible to a wider audience, just concluded its month long street art festival in Bangalore and added much needed color to the city’s urban landscape. Besides transforming walls facing public streets, its prolific emerging & established artists from different cities & countries also created art interventions through a diverse range of eccentric murals & installations centered in and around Majestic, Cubbon Park & MG Road Metro stations.

TMRG, I recently read a report saying that BMRC will invite bids for the construction of the Gottigere – Nagavara line by December this year. Any update about that?

We’ll have to wait and see when the bids are invited. Back in Aug, they said they’ll invite bids for the Whitefield extension in September, and so far nothing has happened.

Can Namma Metro meet April deadline for Phase 1? — Bengaluru, Nov 8, 2016, DHNS

Namma Metro’s Phase 1 may not meet its newest deadline — April 2017 —notwithstanding the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd’s (BMRCL) confidence.
The BMRCL has not yet finished laying tracks on the underground section from Majestic to KR Market
