A Look Back at the History of Delhi Metro’s Faridabad Corridor
With the inauguration of the Delhi Metro Violet line’s 13.875 km extension to Faridabad’s Escort Mujesar station just a few hours away, here’s a look back at its history.
February 7 2012 – Larsen & Toubro Ltd. announced they have won the construction contract via a press release.
March 29 2012 – Piling work began right after a small bhoomi pujan at Sector 16A
June 21 2012 – First pier got ready at Sector 16A
December 2012 – Pier caps start getting installed on piers
March 4 2013 – First precast u-girder (27 meter long) launched near the Old Faridabad metro station
April 12 2015 – First trial run commenced
August 10-12 2015 – CMRS conducted safety inspection
