[Pics] Inside Delhi Metro’s New Magenta Line’s Tunnels Between Janakpuri & Botanical Garden
Here are some images of the new tunnels constructed for the Delhi Metro’s Phase 3 project. The tunnels in the following images show different sections of the 38.24 km Magenta line which will connect Janakpuri West with Botanical Garden in Noida. You can use this official DMRC map to see the location of the areas mentioned in the captions below.

Tunneling work on this line is largely complete. Only a couple more breakthroughs by different contractors at Vasant Vihar, Munirka, Panchsheel Park and Nehru Place are left and should be achieved (at different times) by March 2016.
