12 Bidders for Ludhiana – Bathinda Expressway Package 2’s Work
12 construction firms have submitted bids to construct Package 2 of the 75.4 km Ludhiana – Bathinda Expressway (NH-754AD), after the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) opened technical bids last Tuesday.
This 6 lane greenfield access-controlled project in Punjab with 2 packages is part of the Ludhiana – Ajmer Economic Corridor (EC-8). Its route will connect Ballowal village on the upcoming Delhi – Amritsar Expressway (NE–5) with Rampura Phul on the upcoming Amritsar – Bhatinda Expressway (NH754AD).
Bids for the 30.30 km Package 1 on the project’s southern-end were opened in July to reveal 13 bidders. The 45.243 km Package 2 lies on the northern-end and NHAI invited tenders for its construction in January with a 2 year deadline and Rs. 1015.05 crore estimate

Brief Scope: Development of 6_lane access controlled Ludhiana Bathinda Greenfield highway section of NH754AD from junction with Amritsar Bathinda Greenfield Road (NH754A) near village Tallewal as a part of Ludhiana Ajmer Economic Corridor in Punjab on HAM PKG_I

With this development, bids for both packages are now under technical evaluation, which is expected to take about a month to complete. When that is done, the financial bids of the technically qualified bidders will be opened to reveal who’s the lowest bidder and most likely contractor.
This expressway has been designed with a 60m ROW (right of way) at an estimated cost of Rs. 1716.17 crore. More design details and a list of its packages can be viewed here.
