IL&FS wins Bangalore Metro contract
In a Press Release from earlier this year, the IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd announced that they’ve bagged a Rs.326.99 crore rail contract from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. This is significant as it marks the start of Phase II of the Bangalore Metro project.

This contract involves the construction of a roughly 3.9 km long elevated viaduct from Mysore road station to Pattanagere station, including four elevated metro stations at Nayandahalli, Ajarajeshwari Nagar Station, Jnanabharathi Station and Pattanagere. This extension is part of the Purple line’s western extension to Kengri. As per the statement filed with the BSE, the civil work is to be completed in 27 months from the date of issue of letter of acceptance.
