Lucknow Metro’s Progress at Transport Nagar & LDA Colony
Construction work by Larsen & Toubro is rapidly progressing on the 8.3 km first stretch of Lucknow’s Metro that runs from the RTO office in Transport Nagar to the Railway Station in Charbagh. Here are some images shot yesterday that show the Transport Nagar station taking shape:

And here are some images of the line as it crosses over the Railway line on Kanpur Road in LDA Colony. As you’ll notice, the height of the piers increase as it gets closer to the railway line in order to give a satisfactory minimum clearance to the Indian Railways to conduct their services.
