21 New Images from Inside Hyderabad Metro’s Nagole Station & Trial Runs

The title of this post is pretty clear. Here’s a post which shows 21 images from inside the completed Nagole station on the ~29 km Nagole – Raidurg metro line. While the section from Nagole to Mettuguda is ready, the Mettuguda – Secunderabad section over the Indian Railways’ lines is still under construction and will take some additional time to get ready.

Here’s a map I’ve made which shows the 11 km “Stage 1” from Nagole to Secunderabad. The stations on this section include: Nagole, Uppal, Survey of India, NGRI, Habsiguda, Tarnaka, Mettuguda & Secunderabad as shown below:

Trial runs on the Nagole-Mettuguda section began in August 2014 and since then work on the station interiors and other sections (barring the contentious old city section) of the 72 km project have been in progress. The media was recently invited to a tour of the line at Nagole and here are some images:

As far as the opening goes, the line is expected to start commercial operations sometime in Q3 2016 once the ~3 km Mettuguda – Secunderabad section is completed.
