Images from AIDS Awareness Campaigns at Delhi & Ahmedabad Metro Construction Sites
This isn’t a typical construction update, but something that is paramount for the safety of all citizens & workers! 🙂
Like every year, civil construction contractors across different metro construction sites in India held AIDS Awareness campaigns on the occasion of World AIDS Day on December 1. Awareness was achieved through talks, innovative puppet shows and plays on how to prevent the contraction of AIDS. The campaign was primarily geared towards migrant workers who aren’t aware of the many social & health issues that are prevalent and are more likely to be infected. Besides pamphlets, condoms were also distributed among workers.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corp is well known for its various safety awareness campaigns and has been lauded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency for doing so. Recently in September, they had launched an awareness campaign about Dengue by placing informative banners across all stations.
