Thanks to my Twitter follower Shashwat Pant (@shashpant) for giving me the monthly heads-up about the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) having updated their website with Phase 3’s progress made up till the end of November by different contractors. Unlike last time, this update was published at the usual time of the month their website gets updated.
In case you are interested, last month’s update can be viewed here – Delhi Metro Phase 3 – November 2015 Update.
Here are some of my favorite images from this month’s update:
Blue line – Dwarka – Najafgarh extension (4.295 km)
Violet line – ITO – Kashmere Gate extension (9.370 km)
Pink line – Mukundpur – Shiv Vihar (58.596 km)
Magenta line – Janakpuri West – Botanical Garden (38.235 km)
While these images are great and show physical progress made on the ground & within the stations, check out my Delhi Metro Phase 3 – December 2015 Tunneling Update for a complete list of tunnels and their status’. Without these tunnels, commercial operations on many sections will not be able to begin.
