Here are some brand new images of Navi Mumbai’s 11.10 km metro line under construction in the Panchanand area of Navi Mumbai! This is where the depot line splits up into 2 viaducts (entry & exit) and joins the main line to allow easy movement of trains to/from the depot. This area is just east of where the line will cross the Central Railways’ line and the Dedicated Freight Corridor via a 100 meter long steel bridge which will soon be erected.
As seen above, while one viaduct (exit line) from the depot joins the main line in a smooth fashion, the other one (entry line) goes below the main line and then joins it. In order to achieve this, both the lines travel at different heights after splitting up.
