The bidding for this will be conducted in a single stage with firms required to submit 3 bids by 3 pm on June 23 2016:

(A) First envelope, called “Initial Filter cum Qualification Requirement Bid”
(B) Second envelope, called “Technical Bid’’
(C) Third envelope, called “Price Bid’’

The first envelope will be opened on the same day at 3:30 pm following which firms will be filtered based on a host of parameters such as experience and financial health. Qualified firms will be then move to the next round of technical bidding and onwards to the financial/price bidding stage. With JICA’s approval, I expect MEGA to open the price bids in August and award the contracts shortly after in September/October.

Here’s a recap of all sections and the status of their contracts:

Green: Awarded | Orange: Partially Awarded | Red: Bids Invited | Black: Bids Yet to be Invited

For construction purposes, the remaining section between the West Ramp and Thaltej Gam is expected to be divided up into 2 sections:

1) Sabarmati Bridge

2) West end of Sabarmati Bridge to Thaltej Gam with 6 stations at Stadium, Commerce Six Road, Gujarat University, Doordarshan Kendra, Thaltej and Thaltej Gam. Like the Vastral Gam to East Ramp section of this line, this section might also be broken up into 2 smaller contracts – one to construct the elevated viaduct and another to construct the stations.

It seems like you forgot about updating the latest update. Ahmedabad section last update on 28 March 2016.

Hi, there hasn’t been any major movement since then. The viaduct has progressed quite a bit and 8 spans have been completed at Vastral. Here’s something new – MEGA will soon be updating their website with a new layout and picture update section. I’ll post about it whenever that happens.
