Lucknow Metro’s Truss Bridge to be Pushed in 2 Weeks

Remember that yellow bridge that was assembled in Ambala earlier this year? Early next month, Lucknow Metro’s contractors are going to start pushing it over the Avadh intersection in the Singar Nagar area, thus completing a critical section of Lucknow’s 22.878 km north-south metro line!

This 60m long bridge weighs 460MT and is similar to the ones recently assembled & pushed in Delhi at Punjabi Bagh, Shakurpur & Rajouri Garden. Work here is being carried out by Larsen & Toubro (Package LKCC-01) and their subcontractor HMM Infra which has vast expertise in assembling & launching steel structures, including the ones mentioned above. The bridge’s parts were fabricated at HMM Infra’s facility in Ambala where it underwent a trial assembly in March prior to being dismantled and transported on-site in May.

The bridge has been assembled south of the Avadh intersection where ‘Parag Booth’ has been marked below:
