AECOM Wins Patna Metro Line-2’s DDC Contract
AECOM Singapore Pte. Ltd. – AECOM India Pvt. Ltd JV has emerged as the lowest bidder for the Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) contract of Patna Metro’s 17.64 km Line-2 after officials from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Patna Metro Rail Corporation (PMRC) on February 10 opened financial bids submitted by different engineering firms.
Update: LOA was issued to the AECOM JV on February 18, 2020.
The DMRC invited bids for this service under contract PCDD-02 in November 2019 with a completion period of 48 months (4 years). The appointed firm’s role would include, but is not limited to, producing and proposing alternate designs of all civil, architectural, building services, electrical and mechanical works for the entire line.
Here are the financial bid values submitted by all the bidders (DMRC’s estimate was Rs. 27.50 crores).

AECOM | Rs. 17.273 cr |
Ayesa | Rs. 17.929 cr |

DMRC is providing General Consultancy services to execute Patna Metro’s 32.54 km Phase 1 project, and Consulting Engineers Group (CEG) is on track to complete soil testing by mid-March 2020.
If no issues arise, then AECOM will go on to be awarded with the line’s DDC contact in the coming weeks. Back in November 2019, DMRC also invited bids for the 14.89 km Line-1’s DDC contract under package PCDD-01. Bid results are awaited.
