Delhi – Ahmedabad HSR’s Alignment Design & Survey Bids Opened

Government-owned RITES and 3 other firms have emerged as the lowest bidders for 4 packages over the past 2 weeks to help prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the upcoming 886 km Delhi – Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (DAHSR Bullet Train) project which’ll connect both cities through 12 stations in Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat.

NHSRCL had invited tenders (bids) for these four packages with varying lengths of completion in early September which deal with preparing a final alignment design (including aerial LiDAR survey), carrying out a ridership (traffic) study, preparing General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) and data collection surveying work.

Carrying Out Ridership Study (Traffic Study)

Financial bids haven’t yet been opened for the tenders dealing with conducting a Social Impact Assessment (SIA) and identifying utilities and power sourcing options for substations.

If no issues arise during financial bid evaluation, then all four firms / consortia should receive a Letter of Award (LoA) in the coming weeks.

As shared earlier – the line’s alignment has been proposed to pass through Jaipur and Udaipur, and the GAD contract’s tender document had revealed a total of 12 stations and 12 maintenance depots will be built. Their names still haven’t been revealed though, but I believe they’d come up at or around Himatnagar, Udaipur, Bhilwara – Chittorgarh, Ajmer – Kishangarh, Jaipur, Neemrana, Rewari, Manesar – Gurgaon, with possibly two stations in Delhi.
