Shivalaya Awarded Delhi – Mumbai Expressway JNPT Spur’s P16
️Shivalaya Construction Ltd. on October 29 was awarded a Rs. 1357.81 crore contract for Package 16 of the 1350 km Delhi – Mumbai Expressway (DME) project‘s JNPT Spur per the latest status report published by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
This 26.8 km 8 lane section connects Amne to Bhoj as part of a 92 km greenfield access-controlled road skirting around Mumbai connecting Virar with Jawaharlal Nehru Port.
NHAI had invited tenders for Package 16’s construction (along with 15 & 14) back in January with a 2 year deadline. Technical bids were opened in July to reveal 13 bidders.

Brief Scope: Construction of Eight lane access controlled Expressway from Km 43.000 to Km 69.800 (Amne to Bhoj Section-SPUR of Vadodara Mumbai Expressway) on Hybrid Annuity mode under Bharatmala Pariyojana (Phase II-Package XVI)]
The project’s feasibility report has a detailed description of its route with a list of interchanges, major and minor river bridges, including a 4.39 km tunnel through Matheran Eco-Sensitive Zone – a part of Package 17.
With this development, the first of 5 packages related to JNPT Spur has been awarded. I’m expecting basic ground work to start before the year ends.

I think pkg 18 will be built by MSRDC not by NHAI. It is given in environment clearance report of pkg 17.

MSRDC is not contractor, they also will have to call Tender.

बो कंपनी L 1 रही होगी इसलिए उसे टेंडर मिल गया।
और nhai ने टेंडर जारी किया था
