Dilip Buildcon Wins Raipur – Vizag Expressway’s Package CG2

Dilip Buildcon Ltd. (DBL) today emerged as the lowest bidder to construct 56.7 km package CG-2 of the 464 km Raipur – Visakhapatnam Economic Corridor (NH-130CD & EC-15), also known as Raipur – Vizag Expressway.

This new six-lane highway will have a few sections that are access-controlled with a greenfield alignment connecting the states of Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.

Package CG-2 is the 2nd of 3 packages within Chhattisgarh, and will connect Sargi – Basanwahi from chainage km 42.800 to km 99.500.

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) invited tenders for its construction in December 2021 with a 2 year deadline and Rs. 1203.15 crore estimate. Technical bids were opened on February 1 to reveal 7 bidders.

DBL’s bid of Rs. 1141 crore was well below NHAI’s estimate of Rs. 1203.15 crore, so a contract should be awarded in the coming weeks without a lengthy financial bid evaluation period.

Technical bids for Chhatisgarh’s final 25.161 km section (Package CG-3) connecting Basanwahi – Marangpuri are currently planned to be opened on March 1. Stay tuned!
