[Pics] Bangalore Metro’s Cubbon Park Station is Ready to Go Live!

With only 2 more days left for the inauguration of Bangalore’s 4.8 km underground section, the BMRCL yesterday gave a tour of its upcoming Cubbon Park metro station to K.J. George, Karnataka’s Minister for Bengaluru Development and Town Planning, who came along with an army of journalists and photographers to check it out! After viewing different areas and their preparedness, BMRCL’s officials interacted with the media on the station’s platform.
I shared a couple of these images via my Twitter handle yesterday, so in case you’re not following me already (hint..hint), here they are, along with many more.
As a reminder, the 4.8 km underground section from Magadi Road to MG Road with 5 stations will be inaugurated on April 29 and commercial operations will start on April 30. Click here to read about some largely unknown facts about this section.
On the operational side of things, the BMRCL plans to service the entire 18.1 km line with 15 trains running at a frequency of 10 minutes in the initial stages. Here’s a sneak peek of the fare chart:
