Lucknow Metro’s General Consultant to be chosen by November

Just like Nagpur, Lucknow has now started the process to appoint a General Consultant to help prepare bid documents, release tenders and supervise the work of the entire metro project. From a recent report, it has emerged that a pre-bid conference was held regarding the selection of this General Consultant in which three Joint Venture (JV) consortia participated.

The three JV consortia include:

1) Egis Rail, Aecom Asia and Egis India
2) Aisa, KNRV and AARVRA
3) OCG, Rites and DBI.

The selection of the General Consultant (GC) will be completed in November. It’s worth noting that Aecom Asia was recently appointed as the GC for Mumbai Metro’s Line 3 project. Once the GC has been selected, they will replace the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation which has currently been helping out as an interim consultant.

L&T is carrying out work at a brisk pace and in case you’ve missed my previous post showing pictures of constructed piers and launched girders, then please click here.
