List of Stations on Mumbai’s Dahisar – DN Nagar & Dahisar(E) – Andheri(E) Metro Lines Released

A preliminary list of station names for Mumbai Metro’s new lines between Dahisar and DN Nagar (Line-2A) and Dahisar East and Andheri East (Line-7) has been released.

According to the DPR, there will be 17 and 16 elevated stations on each line respectively. While these numbers have been fixed, the actual names of the stations can change at any time prior to the lines becoming operational in 2021.

Here’s the list of stations:

Line 2 (Yellow Line): Dahisar – DN Nagar (a part of the larger Dahisar-Bandra-Mankhurd line) with 17 stations:

  • Dahisar West
  • Rushi Sankul
  • IC Colony
  • LIC Colony
  • Don Bosco
  • Kastur Park
  • Ekta Park
  • Kandivali Nagar
  • Charkop
  • Malad
  • Kasturi Park
  • Bangur Nagar
  • Oshiwara
  • Samarth Nagar
  • Shastri Nagar
  • DN Nagar (interchange with line 1)

Line 7 (Red Line): Dahisar East – Andheri East (a part of the larger Dahisar East – Andheri East – Bandra East line) with 16 stations:

  • Shreenath Nagar
  • Omkareshwar
  • Borivali Bus Stop
  • Thakur Complex
  • Mahindra & Mahindra
  • Bandongri
  • Kurar Village
  • Veet Bhatti
  • Aarey Road Junction
  • V. Nagar – note: not sure what or where this?
  • Hub Mall
  • Bombay Exhibition Centre
  • JVLR Junction
  • Shankarwadi
  • Andheri East (interchange with line 1’s WEH metro station)

Please keep in mind that this is the work of a graphic artist, so the locations and alignment especially in Dahisar where the interchange will be built should not be considered as the actual alignment.

As a reminder, the Maharashtra cabinet approved the 2 lines just yesterday and the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, will lay the foundation stones for the lines on this Sunday!     Is the Metro 2 on SV Road or linking Road at Santacruz and Khar? The station names announced are areas on linking road and not SV road?
