MahaMetro Invites Bids for 8 Stations on Pune Metro’s Line-2

This tender notice slipped through the cracks! Weeks after re-inviting bids to construct a 7.150 km elevated viaduct between Vanaz and Civil Court in western Pune, the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MahaMetro) on July 19 invited bids for the construction of 8 elevated stations along the way. This will be the 1st section of Pune Metro’s 14.665 km east-west Line-2 to get ready and overall the 2nd after the 10.795 km PCMC – Range Hills section of Line-1 for which NCC has started casting pile caps.

The 8 stations in this package will be built along Paud, Maharishi Karve and Jangali Maharaj roads, and will be located at Vanaz, Anand Nagar, Ideal Colony, Nal Stop, Garware College, Deccan Gymkhana, Sambhaji Park and PMC –

MahaMetro has estimated the station package of this section to cost Rs 460 crores and would like work to be completed within 110 weeks (2 years). The last date for submitting tender documents for bidding is August 18 2017 (4 pm) after which the bids will be opened & evaluated for eligibility at 4:30 pm. The financial bids are expected to be opened in Q4 2017 and once the contract is finalized, piling work for the stations can be expected to begin early next year.

Note: Apparently the financial bids for Reach-1’s stations (shown in orange below) were opened in mid July. Bidding results are awaited.
