This section includes 8 stations at Civil Court, Mangalwar Peth, Pune Railway Station, Ruby Clinic, Bund Garden, Yerawada, Kalyani Nagar and Ramwadi which will be constructed as part of a separate contract for which bids are expected to be invited in the coming weeks.
MahaMetro has estimated this package to cost Rs 432 crore and would like work to be completed within 110 weeks. Tender documents went on sale on February 17 and are available until March 23 (4 pm) after which the bids will be opened & evaluated for eligibility at 4:30 pm.
Looking at extremely short timeframes for Reach-1 and Reach-2’s bidding, the financial bids for this section are expected to be opened towards the end of Q2 (May/June) and once the contract is finalized, piling work for this section of the line can be expected to begin in Q3 (July-September)
Phase 1’s Status
Orange: Under Construction (viaduct & stations) | Green: Bids Invited (viaduct only) & Bids Yet to be Invited (stations) | Grey: Bids yet to be Invited (tunnels and stations)
The grey portion of the 16.589 km north-south Line-1 (PCMC – Swargate) is entirely underground between Range Hills & Swargate. For that, MahaMetro in January invited bids for just the construction of two TBM launch shafts and the underground Swargate Station.
