The construction of Kothanur Depot, where all Pink Line trains will be stabled and maintained, had been terribly delayed due to land acquisition issues for about 30 acres. The final notification for acquiring 58 properties was published in the Karnataka Gazette back in January 2018, and later in the year 8 additional properties were identified for acquisition.

If no issues arise during BMRCL’s financial bid evaluation, then ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd. in the coming weeks will go on to be awarded with Kothanur Depot’s construction contract with a requirement to complete all works within 30 months.
