NCC Completes Pune Metro’s 2 Spans over JRD Tata Flyover

Workers from NCC Ltd. in Pune today completed launching precast segments on top of Bharat Ratna J.R.D. Tata Flyover at Nashik Phata for building the 10.795 km Reach-1 (PCMC – Range Hills) section of the 31.25 km Pune Metro Phase 1 project.

The two spans over the flyover with 8 precast segments each are at a height of about 25 meters above the ground, and located between Bhosari and Kasarwadi stations of the 16.589 km Purple Line (Line-1) which’ll connect Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) and Swargate through 14 stations.

NCC was awarded the viaduct’s Rs. 499.01 crore civil construction contract by Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha Metro) in May 2017, while the 9 stations enroute are being built by HCC – Al Fara’a JV at PCMC, Sant Tukaram Nagar, Bhosari (Nashik Phata), Kasarwadi, Phugewadi, Dapodi, Bopodi, Khadki and Range Hills.
