Evrascon Wins Delhi-Amritsar Expressway’s Package 12
Evrascon-MKCIL JV today emerged as the lowest bidder for constructing package 12 of the roughly 650 km Delhi – Amritsar – Katra (DAK) Expressway after the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) opened financial bids.
This 4-lane greenfield project starts at KMP Expressway north-west of Delhi, and is expandable to 8 lanes with provision of service roads in the future. Phase 1 involves the construction of a 397.7 km greenfield expressway between Delhi – Ludhiana – Gurdaspur and a 99 km spur connecting Nakodar – Amritsar.
36.28 km long package 12 is at the northern-end of the Delhi – Gurdaspur Expressway. NHAI invited bids its construction in November 2020 with a Rs 978.82 crore estimate and 2 year deadline. Technical bids were opened on March 10 to reveal 14 bidders.

Brief Scope: Construction of four-lane Greenfield Delhi-Katra Expressway from Junction with Amritsar-Tanda road (NH-503A) near Sri Hargobindpur to Junction with Pathankot-Gurdaspur road (NH-54) near Gurdaspur (Km 362.420 – km 397.700) on EPC mode under BMP in Punjab
Evrascon – MKCIL’s bid was well below (12.79%) NHAI’s estimate, so its contract should be awarded without much scrutiny during financial bid evaluation. This is their 3rd win after packages 9 & 10 in central Punjab.
DAK Expressway project’s greenfield section consists of 15 packages – 12 on the 397 km Delhi – Gurdaspur section and 3 on the 99 km Nakodar-Amritsar spur. With this development, financial bids for 10 have been opened, technical bid evaluation is underway for 4 and a tender notice is pending for 1. See a list of all packages and their status’ here.

L&T was H1 or L14 – basically the highest bidder at Rs 1348 crore.

How L&T is considered “good” company? Just saw a collapsed span of Dwarka Expressway elevated road. Govt has put L&T under suspension. Horrible pics.
Thank god the site was deserted due to Holi festival. High time negligent contractors should be put in jail and black listed forever.

in WDFC also launcher failed in a viduct which was made by L&T . the launcher was chinese
