6 Bidders for Delhi Metro Phase 4’s RSS AMS Electrification DE-4

6 firms in October-end submitted tenders to commission receiving and auxiliary main substations including high-voltage cabling (DE-04) for Delhi Metro’s Phase 4 project.

This 65.1 km project is well under construction and includes 1 new line (23.62 km Silver Line: Aerocity-Tughlakabad) and the extension of the Magenta Line (28.92 km Janakpuri West – R.K.Ashram) and Pink Line (12.58 km Mukundpur – Maujpur).

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) had invited bids for package DE-04 in June 2021 with a Rs. 29.79 crore estimate and 36 month completion deadline.

Bidders:

  • IRCON International Ltd.
  • KEC International Ltd.
  • Larsen & Toubro (L&T)
  • Linxon India Pvt. Ltd.
  • Siemens Ltd.
  • Sterling & Wilson (SWPL)

Brief Scope: Design, Detail Engineering, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning Of Receiving And Auxiliary Main Substation Including High Voltage Cabling From Grid Substation For Phase-IV Of Delhi Metro Rail Project

The bids are currently under technical evaluation which can take a couple months to complete. When that is done, the financial bids of the technically qualified bidders will be opened to reveal who’s the lowest bidder and most likely contractor for this package.

This package will be financed by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) through a Rs 8,390 crore loan which will be put towards financing 44 civil & system packages. A list of all Phase 4 packages and their status can be viewed here.

    Bro.. whats the status of magenta line extension specially between peeragarhi and haiderpur.. saw a video few fays back that work is going extremely slow in that section. Is that true and any reason for that. Plus when will tunneling start from jankapuri side ??

      This is a JICA package/project 🙂 I think you’re referring to the 4 underground civil packages? Should happen before the year ends.
