8 Bidders for Gwalior Airport’s New Terminal Contract

Eight construction firms have submitted bids to construct the new terminal building of Gwalior Airport after Airports Authority of India (AAI) opened technical bids today.

The project includes the construction of a new Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia terminal building of area 20,000 sqm to handle 1400 peak hour passengers, ancillary buildings, car parking and city side development.

AAI invited tenders for its construction in February 2022 with a Rs. 274.45 crore estimate and 450 day deadline.

  • MCL-KSIPL Consortium
  • M. S. Khurana Engineering Ltd.
  • SAM (India) Infrastructure LLP
  • SOM Projects Pvt. Ltd.
  • Vascon Engineers Ltd.

Brief Scope: Construction of Terminal Building, Ancillary Buildings, Car Parking, City side Development and other associated works at Gwalior Airport.

The bids have now been sent for technical evaluation which can take a couple months to complete. When that is done, the financial bids of the technically qualified bidders will be opened to reveal who’s the lowest bidder and most likely contractor.
