Bangalore Metro Phase 3 Sarjapur – Hebbal Line’s DPR Bids Invited
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) today invited tenders to appoint a consultant to create a Detailed Project Report for Bangalore Metro’s Phase 3‘s 37 km Hebbal – Sarjapur metro line.
This exciting development comes barely weeks after Karnataka’s Chief Minister announced the re-addition of the line at an estimated cost of Rs. 15,000 crore. The line will cut through the city’s core and connect Carmeleram, Agara, Koramangala, Dairy Circle, Central College and Armane Nagar.
BMRCL has barred firms from bidding in a consortium / JV.
RFP: BMRCL/Phase-3/DPR (Sarjapura to Hebbala)/Consultancy/2022/88
- Estimate: Not Disclosed
- Completion Period: 8 months
- Bid Submission End Date: 17/05/2022 at 15:00
- Technical Bid Opening Date: 17/05/2022 at 15:30
Scope: Preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Metro Rail Corridor of length 37 km connecting Sarjapura to Hebbala through Agara, Koramangala and Dairy Circle for Bangalore Metro Rail Project, Phase-3
The DPR will provide a baseline of the line’s length, underground & elevated route composition, number of stations, their locations, depot, coach requirement, ridership projection, operational game plan, total cost etc.
If things go according to the tender notice’s prescribed schedule, then we should see a consultant getting appointed in Q3 (July – October) and perhaps a glimpse of the DPR’s first draft, if BMRCL chooses to share, in Q2 2023 (April – June).

Guess flats are again not selling down the road 😀
That was unexpectedly fast. If only BMRCL’s construction was also this quick…
Expected period of completion is apparently 8 months. Seriously!!! That’s the funniest thing iv heard all day
That’s a bid completion period
I think it’s mistake not 8 months may be 8 years
Not for project, it could be for DPR preparation
It could be inaugurated on India’s 100th independence anniversary celebration
Hey TMRG.
1. Do you think the Hebbagodi depot completion will delay the onset of commercial operations on the Yellow line?
2. Any particular reason why BMRCL has banned JV’s from applying to this tender?
Thanks for the clarifications!
Hi Ronith,
1. Naah. Availability of trains will.
2. No idea, but most likely they want to keep bidder list simple with no padding of experience by smaller firms.
Long time we had any update on the yellow line. Please post something
Don’t really have anything major to share at this time. Viaduct is mostly ready. Systems installation work is ongoing. There are no trains. None in sight.
Any update on the Bannerghatta Road Metro ?, Is there any plan to extend it till Nice Road intersection or till Bannerghatta National Park in Metro 3rd phase.
Looks like this Sarjapur metro station will be very close to godrej park retreat that’s why 600sqft cost 80 lac there ,may be they will remove the lake and create a metro station just a thought ..i might be wrong 😊
