6 Bidders for Darbhanga Airport’s New Terminal Contract in Bihar

Six firms have submitted bids for the civil construction work of a new terminal building at Darbhanga Airport in Bihar after Airports Authority of India (AAI) opened technical bids today.

Designed by SGA Design Lab, Darbhanga Airport’s new terminal building with 5 aerobridges will include a basement, ground floor, and 2 upper floors. The terminal with a built-up area of 59,222 sq. m. will enable the airport to handle a traffic demand of 3 million passengers per annum (mppa).

52.48 acres of land was acquired for the project by the Bihar Government in 2023. AAI had invited tenders for the terminal’s civil construction contract in November 2023 with a Rs. 631.71 crore estimate and 2 year completion deadline.
