HCC Wins Agardanda Creek Bridge’s Contract Near Dighi Port in Maharashtra

In addition to 2.04 km Dharamtar Creek Bridge‘s bids, Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) on Wednesday also opened bids for 4.3 km Agardanda Creek Bridge to reveal Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) as the lowest bidder for its civil construction between Tokekhar – Turumbadi villages.

This 2 lane bridge on state highway SH-4 (Revas – Reddi Coastal Highway) in Raigad District was approved for construction by Maharashtra Government’s cabinet in mid-January 2024. It will be built just east of Adani Ports & SEZ’s Dighi Port project (view on Google Maps).

MSRDC had invited bids for its EPC construction contract in January 2024 with a Rs. 809.89 crore estimate and 30 month construction deadline with an additional 10-year maintenance period. Technical bids were opened last week to reveal two bidders – Afcons Infrastructure and Hindustan Construction Company (HCC).

HCC’s bid of Rs. 1187.76 crore was 46.65% higher than MSRDC’s Rs. 809.89 crore estimate, so unless MSRDC bites the bullet and pushes the contract to fruition, then this will have to be re-tendered out.
