This package was designed by SYSTRA MVA Consulting (India), the Detailed Design Consultants (DDC) of Line-2.

This is the first contract for Ceigall in the metro construction space, so this will open up several job positions. They’re experience primarily lies in the highway / expressway space – see examples on my site here.

With this development, I expect Ceigall to begin basic ground towards the end of Q2 2024 (April – June) and full fledged construction work in Q3 2024 (July – September).

Both contracts for 8.38 km Line-2’s civil construction have now been awarded. The underground section (KNPCC-11) connecting Agriculture Depot – Double Pullia Ramp via twin tunnels and 3 stations was awarded to KPIL – Gulermak JV in December 2023.

Hi, I don’t know UPMRC’s game plan. Tunneling is underway between Central & Nayaganj. If they club this section’s opening with Chunniganj – Nayaganj, then mid-2025. If not, then 2026-end. Let’s see what happens.
