U-Girder & Pier Cap Casting Begins for Lucknow Metro’s North Extn
After launching piling work in October 2016, workers from Larsen & Toubro this week began casting work to make U-girders and pier caps for the city’s 8.63 km KDSB Stadium – Munshipulia section of the 22.878 km north-south metro line. This new section, officially called package LKCC-07, will require a total of 672 U-girders and 271 precast pier caps with dimensions of 9.6m x 2.8m x 2m.
The entirely elevated KDSB Stadium – Munshipulia stretch includes the construction of 8 stations located at K.D.Singh Babu Stadium, Vishwavidyalaya, IT College, Badshah Nagar, Lekhraj Market, R.S.Mishra Nagar, Indira Nagar and Munshipulia. It would also include 2 cantilever bridges over the Gomti River (parallel to the Hanuman Setu Bridge) and the railway tracks near the Badshah Nagar station which will look similar to the one just constructed at Mawaiya.

Hi, any updates of Delhi Metro’s Heritage line’s opening? It was announced that it would be opened by Holi. Still no news of CMRS inspection…
Expecting it to open in Q2 (April – June) as there’s quite some work left at Kashmere Gate Station. I’ll share some images soon.
