ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd. has emerged as the lowest bidder for constructing Bangalore Metro’s Kothanur Depot for the new 21.386 km Line-4 (Reach 6 / Pink Line) which’ll connect Nagawara with Kalena Agrahara (formerly Gottigere) through 18 stations.
Tenders for this contract of the 73.95 km Bangalore Metro Phase 2 project were invited by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) in December 2019, and technical bids were opened in January 2020 to reveal a list of 9 bidders.
Here are the bid values reported by Naveen Menezes at the Bangalore Mirror for all bidders. BMRCL’s estimate was Rs. 163.44 crore.

Scope: Construction of Metro Rail Depot Structures, Site development works, internal roads & drainage works in Depot area at Kothnur in Reach-6 of Bangalore Metro Rail Project, Phase-2.
The construction of Kothanur Depot, where all Pink Line trains will be stabled and maintained, had been terribly delayed due to land acquisition issues for about 30 acres. The final notification for acquiring 58 properties was published in the Karnataka Gazette back in January 2018, and later in the year 8 additional properties were identified for acquisition.
If no issues arise during BMRCL’s financial bid evaluation, then ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd. in the coming weeks will go on to be awarded with Kothanur Depot’s construction contract with a requirement to complete all works within 30 months.

TMRG, have all depots been awarded for construction in Phase 2?
Challaghata and Anjanapura are left.
Notice inviting tenders has not yet been published. Challaghata’s DDC was just appointed, so the tender notice shouldn’t be too far away

TMRG,
Is Kothanur Dinne Depot Blue Print available online?
Hi, I don’t have it. Haven’t seen it either.
Compared to other cities like Nagpur, Pune andumbai, Bangalore metro seems to be the slowest and costliest metro line.
Rampant corruption is obvious.
