4 Bidders for Chennai-Mysuru HSR’s LiDAR & Alignment Design
4 design and engineering firms today submitted bids to prepare the final alignment design including an aerial LiDAR survey for the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the 435 km Chennai – Bengaluru – Mysuru High Speed Rail project in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
LiDAR survey is a helicopter-based laser surveying technique for rapid and accurate collection of topographic data, and similar surveying works commenced in December for the 865 km Delhi – Varanasi High Speed Rail (DVHSR Bullet Train) corridor’s alignment.
India’s National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) invited bids for this service on January 9 with a completion period of 150 days and estimated cost of Rs. 10.20 crore.

- Aarvee Associates Architects Engineers Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (likely in a JV with GSL Associates Pvt. Ltd.)
- Monarch Surveyors and Engineering Consultants. Pvt. Ltd.
- RITES Ltd. (likely in a JV with Geokno India Pvt. Ltd.)
- SECON Pvt. Ltd.

Brief Scope: Final Alignment design including Aerial LiDAR survey and other related works for Chennai-Mysore High Speed Rail Corridor
The 9 stations proposed on the Chennai – Mysuru line are planned to be built at Chennai, Poonamallee, Arakkonam, Chittor, Bangarapet, Bengaluru, Chennapatna, Mandya and Mysuru.
The bids have now been sent for technical evaluation which can take up to a month to complete. When that is done, the financial bids of the technically qualified bidders will be opened to reveal who’s the lowest bidder and most likely contractor for this service.
In other news, Subudhi Technoengineers Pvt. Ltd. is the lowest bidder among 8 firms for this line’s survey of utilities and identification of power sourcing options for substations. They placed a bid of Rs. 45.6 lakh and should be awarded this line’s first LOA for its DPR in the coming weeks.
NHSRCL today also invited bids for preparing its environmental impact assessment (EIA) report within 180 days. The last date to submit bids is February 20, 2021 at 3 PM.

TMRG, I’ve heard that Central Govt. Have alloted Rs14,000 crores for Namma metro Phase 2A and 2B. Is that mean that Central Govt. Have finally approve the ORR-Airport line?

CMHSR preliminary alignment almost coincides with Chennai -Bengaluru expressway, for which land acquisition for a 8 lane ROW of 90 metres is done.
But tenders are called only for 4 lane CB Ex.
Why can’t the remaining land be utilised for CMHSR with an MOU with NHAI. It will hasten up the entire process and the project can be realised much sooner.

Why ur bringing this to south and going back to North u can’t consider direct straight line for high speed it may reduce further timing.
