APCO Wins Shamli – Ambala Expressway Package 2’s Work

APCO Infratech on Friday was declared as the lowest bidder to construct 38.9 km Package 2 of the 121.786 km Shamli – Ambala Expressway project in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

This 6 lane access-controlled highway by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will connect Gogwan Jalalpur village on the under construction 210 km Delhi – Dehradun Expressway with Sadopur village north of Ambala.

The project’s Detailed Project Report (DPR) was prepared by K & J Projects Pvt. Ltd. and it forms a significant segment of the upcoming 450 km Ludhiana – Bareilly Economic Corridor.

Package 2 with a bridge over the Yamuna River lies in Haryana and will connect Ranipur Barsi to Adhoya Musalmana.

NHAI had invited tenders for its construction under the Bharatmala Pariyojana program with a 2 year deadline and Rs. 811.22 crore estimate. Technical bids were opened in early July to reveal 9 bidders.

APCO’s bid was 3.23% lower than NHAI’s estimate, so a contract should be awarded in the coming weeks.

Back in mid-July, Montecarlo emerged as the lowest bidder for 37.386 km Package 3 in Haryana’s Ambala District, and I hear Raj Shyama is the lowest bidder among 11 firms for 44.9 km Package 1 in Uttar Pradesh.
